Boring Cookings II

This is the 2nd post of the previous blog...
That means there are more food...
You know...it's all about FOOD...

The apple pie was so-so...
I bought a GV No Sugar Added Apple filling...
It doesn't taste as good without the sugar...
But the crust was awesomely crispy...yay!




My last venture before leaving for florida is a Malaysian Cuisine...
It's the ROTI CANAI!
Unfortunately, it didn't taste as good
ahaha...that was a moderation...
I put too much salt...

The weather is insane here in Des Moines...
Temperature REMAINED at 0 degrees Fahrenheit (-15 Celcius)
but felt like -20 degrees Fahrenheit (-25 Celcius)
Luckily, I will be gone for two weeks FOR GOOD!
Can't wait to see the beach in Miami...

Boring Cookings

What do you do when you're free?
You cook! lol...

These two days i have been learning new dishes as i am too free.
Yes I still have a paper due..but that can wait....you still gotta eat right?!

The first dish was what my brother called "kaya puff" egg!??? He says they look like kaya puff...
Actually this is one of my favorite dished of my granny...
Out of boredom one day, I then thought of attempting this dish.

Tada!



Next is a fusion! Created by my mum, the italian pizza is topped with oriental flavors.
In this love recipe, ketchup were used instead cheese, an ingredient that i used to hate.



What's next?
Apple pie? Char Siew Bun? No idea...
Any suggestion?

You might want to know what happened to me these few months...
First of all, I've grown up! Duh!

I'm two months older and wiser hopefully...
The tonnes of assignments and presentations have made me older...used up so much of my brain juices...
Talk about today. I had a presentation 8:30am in the morning...
Our team were given a mission impossible: we were supposed to research on an insurance company that has been liquidated for 14 (FOURTEEN!!!) years...
All we have was just one website, or more accurately ONE webPAGE...

Then I had to write another term paper that is due 12:30pm...
That wasn't very bad, just a couple of SLEEPLESS nights!

If you think that's bad enough, how about one more presentation to go?
At 3:30pm...
Time of preparation? 2pm -3:30pm

Thank God! There's no more assignments and presentations for the rest of the semester
Because it's FINALS time. Next week.

During my sabbatical (whoa!!), of course I have also went for vacation!
Thanksgiving 2008 was a time for BOSTON, Massachusetts.
A lot of people asked why Boston?

Boston is also one of the important historical site for the United States
THere's the Duck Tour, where you can tour the city on an amphibean vehicle,
a car that can go into the water and be driven like a boat, or a boat that can go up to the land and be driven like a normal car.



Also I have been planning for the coming winter break trip to Florida!
The Matsons said it's not fair...I think it's totally fair...
Phew.....so tiring!!!
