CrAzy....!!

Graduation's gonna be here next May and if you havent found a place for your parents to stay, better start looking! Because, believe it or not, Holiday Inn Express (the one nearby Drake) has been fully reserved!!

Oh my...since 1month ago, I go there once a week for group discussion...because one of my group-mate works there at the front desk...it isn't the best hotel, but the nearest to Drake, which is a nice option for us.

Last year, I heard that they were fully booked since December...and this year, October!!
That's 7 months before...!!

DK: Gas (oil) price continues to fall! Will it go below $2/gallon tomorrow??

Egg Tart

Who says you cannot get egg tart in US?? **Yen Meai Chang, yes, YOU** blek :P

These are the lovely egg tarts made by dear and Caroline...
with the same stupid oven mentioned in my last post...:$
Look at them...don't they make your saliva start dripping like nobody?? (make them drip if they're not already!)

Oven

How hard is it to operate an oven??
Not hard at all, I know!

But for 5minutes I stood in front of the LOVELY, "User-friendly" oven, with the excitement of baking delicious apple pie, trying to figure out how to start the Pre-Heat mode!

Why is it so hard? Because there's no Button that says PreHeat!
How user-friendly it is!

When an actuary is bored...

In SOA exam C:

"When a question goes like this:

XXXX?
a) X
b) XX
c) XXX
d) XXXX
e) Not enough information

Answer E is almost never the right answer. These exam setters have the most sense of humor. How would a question which you cannot answer test your knowledge??"

In SOA exam FM:

May07 Question 2:
Official Answer: E) Not Enough Information

DK: Actuaries have the most sense of humor!

DKinC : Day 1

It's getting cold out there. Very cold...I just feel like it's colder at this time of the year compared to last year. So I figured it's a good idea to see some photos taken during the summer, which was 2months ago, and during which I went to Chicago for a 3-day vacation. The best time to visit Chicago, the windy city, is summer! These are the photos taken for on the first day.

JOB

It seems that the current economy crisis in the US didn't really stop the employment.
My colleague is the best example. He just got his ASA, and off he's going to a new company and new job!

By the way, the job search season is back!! The career fair next week will sure be "exciting". With fewer company out looking for new hires. Hmm...what's down the road for me?? No idea, only He knows.

DK: There will be a farewell lunch tomorrow for my colleague. Should I skip class and go? haha...
